Good Morning to the best Squadron this side of the world wide web! You are all looking very smart with your shiny boots and freshly ironed uniforms. It’s good to see you again, at ease for the briefing. Pick up a beverage and settle in.
There are three topics today. A debrief on the Skope release, whats happening in my world at the moment and then the main announcement which will require your professional discretion as Squadron members!
The Skope Release.
It was fantastic to see Skope was so well received by so many of you, it was awesome fun to be able to pack up the Squadron packages and chuck so many fun new products in there. I hope you all enjoyed the new high vis HIWEZ Signature patch!
You may have noticed you all received a free Hiwez Squadron ranger eye in your orders. This was for a few reasons.
First, the Discount code I had applied, tried and tested on other products (HS10) didn’t work as intended, for some it didn’t work at all and others it only applied the discount to one of the anatomy patches, rarely it worked as intended. This was very strange and something I’ll be looking into with Shopify help if I end up doing it again.
Secondly it is my birthday soon and I wanted to give something to all of you to celebrate and say thank you.
Thirdly and finally I just wanted to show off the new backing cards. Since scrapping the single use discount code and applying the permanent 10% off the private store it meant I had old Squadron patch cards that were obsolete. So it’s nice to have something fit for purpose to send with peoples patches in the future.
What’s goin’ on in my world.
A quick update on some other things before the main announcement just to keep you in the loop! I haven’t forgotten about the Forgotten haha. The next poster is still in its initial phases, some scratches on paper and mostly still wondering the halls of the Cathedral of Lint in my mind to get the structure right, but it will be underway very soon. Also I still have in mind a new FanArts poll and I have made a note of all your suggestions from the facebook post of what you’d like to see from the Squadron in the coming months. It is my intention to start making all these things come true.
At the present time I am working on a series of client projects that really are quite consuming, but the results are already looking great and I’m keen to share them all on social once they’re completed. There is a light at the end of the tunnel in the near future where client work will settle back to a usual rhythm and I can better focus my attentions on our projects. I have a few fun new ideas in the works too which I will share in a future post.
The main announcement.
Skope was so well received that I am confident to put phase two into action, which is making a second colour variant of the cuddly little bad ass. Since he was originally created with three colour options. But I need your help to decide which one to bring out next!
Below are the two options and they need your votes! Same as a previous blog vote you can go to Facebook and punch the polls or you can drop your answer in the comment section below to ensure everyone has a voice in this vote!
The poll will be between TWIG (for OD green) or TWILIGHT (for night ops). I like to keep the Squadron on Facebook who haven’t gone Elite guessing haha. So no dropping hints as to what it’s about!
I have my sights set for a September Release for this new patch so voting will be open only until August 1st then the decision will be made and I will put it into production!
